The devices

What does Novelle sell?

Four at-home skin-technology devices, each built around a treatment you would normally book into a salon:

All four are non-invasive cosmetic devices designed for use at home.

Which device should I start with?

If you want one device that covers everything, start with the LED Face Mask — you wear it hands-free for about ten minutes and it treats cheeks, forehead and jaw evenly.

If your focus is the jawline, chin and neck, the EMS Anti Wrinkle Face & Neck Massager is the more targeted choice. The Microcurrent Face Massager Roller is the easiest to slot into a busy morning, and the Red Light Under-Eye Device is for the thin skin around the eye, which is where most people notice age first.

Still not sure? Tell us what you'd like to work on and we'll point you at the right one.

What is LED light therapy?

LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of visible light — red, blue, green and others — which is the same idea behind the light-therapy facials offered in salons and clinics. Different colours are traditionally used for different concerns, and our masks bring seven of them into one hands-free device.

It is non-thermal and non-UV: the light doesn't heat your skin, and it won't tan or burn it.

What is microcurrent?

Microcurrent devices pass a very low-level electrical current through the skin. It's a long-established salon facial technique, often described as a workout for the face. Most people feel little more than a faint tingle, and many feel nothing at all.

What are red light and EMS?

Red light is LED light at the red end of the visible spectrum — the same idea as the light-therapy step in a salon facial. It is non-thermal and non-UV. EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) sends small pulses that make muscles contract.

Our Red Light Under-Eye Device combines both with a gentle warming mode, and is shaped to sit on the cheekbone so nothing presses on the eye itself.

Do I need to buy gels, refills or replacement parts?

There are no cartridges, pads or refills to replace, so there's no ongoing cost once you've bought the device.

With microcurrent and EMS devices, a water-based conductive gel or a hydrating serum applied first helps the current travel — any water-based product you already own will do. The leaflet in your box sets out the routine for your specific device.

Are the devices rechargeable?

The LED Face Mask is USB-C rechargeable and completely cordless while you wear it, so you can move around during a session. Charging details for each of the other devices are printed on the box and in the leaflet inside.

Using your device and results

How often should I use it?

Most routines are around ten minutes a day. Consistency matters far more than long sessions — the people who notice the most are the ones who attach it to a routine they already have, most days, over six to eight weeks.

Always follow the instructions supplied with your device.

When will I see a difference?

Skin is individual and results vary from person to person. These are cosmetic devices, so it's more useful to think in terms of how your skin looks and feels than a guaranteed outcome.

Give it consistent daily use over several weeks rather than expecting an overnight change — which is exactly why we give you 90 days to try it properly.

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

Our LED devices are non-thermal and non-UV, and are designed for gentle daily use including on sensitive skin. Start with shorter sessions and build up.

If you have a specific skin condition, are pregnant, or take medication that makes you sensitive to light, speak to your GP or pharmacist before you start.

Is there anyone who shouldn't use these devices?

Please check with a doctor before using any of our devices if you:

  • are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • have a pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device
  • have epilepsy
  • have an active skin infection, or broken or irritated skin in the treatment area
  • have recently had injectables, laser treatment or another cosmetic procedure

Don't use a device over broken skin, and stop if anything feels uncomfortable. We're happy to help with anything about your order or the products themselves, but we can't give medical advice.

Do I need eye protection with the LED mask?

The mask is designed to be worn with your eyes closed. Don't stare directly into the LEDs, and if the brightness feels uncomfortable at any point, stop and make your next session shorter.

Can I use my serums and moisturisers with it?

Yes. For LED, most people use it on clean, dry skin and apply serums and moisturiser afterwards.

For microcurrent and EMS, a water-based gel or hydrating serum goes on first, because it helps the current travel across the skin.

Spend £50 or more and our Vitamin C Serum (£9.99) is added to your order free — it is a water-based serum, so it does the job.

Can I use more than one Novelle device?

Yes — pairing the LED mask with the microcurrent roller is a common routine. Space them out rather than stacking treatments back to back on the same area, and build up gradually rather than starting with everything at once.

How do I clean and look after it?

Wipe the surfaces that touch your skin with a soft, slightly damp cloth after each use, and let the device dry fully before you store or charge it.

Don't submerge any device in water, and don't use alcohol or abrasive cleaners on the LED panels.

Orders and delivery

How much is delivery?

Delivery is free on every order to the UK, the United States and Canada, including the international journey from our warehouse. There's no minimum spend, no shipping charge at checkout and nothing to pay when your parcel arrives.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders typically arrive within 5–10 business days. Business days are Monday to Friday and exclude public holidays, so an order placed at the weekend starts processing on the next working day.

These are estimates rather than guarantees — courier delays can occasionally add time. Full detail is in our Shipping Policy.

Where do you deliver to, and where are orders sent from?

We deliver to the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. Delivery is free on every order to all three, with no minimum spend.

Orders are dispatched from our fulfilment partner’s warehouse in China and sent to you with tracking.

We are working on opening other destinations. If you would like us to let you know when we ship to yours, send us a message.

Will I have to pay customs, VAT or any other charges?

No. Orders are shipped internationally from our fulfilment partner’s warehouse in China, but you never pay import duties, import VAT, customs or handling fees, or delivery charges — whatever you order. Any import charges are covered by us, so the price you see at checkout is the total you pay.

If a carrier ever asks you for a fee before delivering a Novelle order, please don't pay it — contact us and we'll sort it out.

Can I change my delivery address after ordering?

Please double-check your address at checkout, because we can't redirect a parcel once it's been dispatched. If you spot a mistake, tell us straight away and we'll correct it if the order hasn't gone out yet.

If a parcel comes back to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, we'll get in touch to arrange redelivery.

How do I track my order?

Head to Track your order. Sign in there and every order on your account is listed with its live courier status and a tracking link — no number to dig out.

If you'd rather not sign in, paste the tracking number from your dispatch email into the lookup box on the same page. A number can take 24–48 hours to show its first scan after dispatch.

My order hasn't arrived. What should I do?

First check Track your order — most questions are answered by the courier's latest scan.

If it's been more than 15 business days, or your parcel arrives damaged, message us with your order number. We'll investigate with the courier and put it right.

Returns, refunds and the guarantee

What is the 90-day guarantee?

If you've used your device as directed and you're not seeing the results you hoped for, you can return it for a refund within 90 days of the day your order is delivered.

It's a voluntary guarantee we offer on top of your legal rights — it doesn't replace or reduce them.

How do I request a refund?
  1. Email us within 90 days of delivery with your order number, and a short note on how you used the device and what results you saw.
  2. We'll reply to confirm your return and give you the return address.
  3. Post the device back to us. We recommend a tracked service — keep your proof of postage.
  4. Once it arrives and has been checked, we refund the product price to your original payment method within 14 days.

Full detail is in our Refund Policy.

Does it have to be unused or in the original packaging?

No. Normal signs of use are completely expected — the whole point of the guarantee is that you've genuinely tried it.

Send it back with any accessories, cables and packaging you still have. We'd only reduce a refund where an item has been damaged beyond normal use, or where parts are missing.

Who pays for return postage?

For a change-of-mind or guarantee return, return postage is paid by you.

If your device arrived faulty, damaged or wasn't what you ordered, we cover the return postage and will offer a repair, replacement or full refund.

My device arrived faulty or damaged.

Message us with your order number and a photo of the problem if you can, and we'll sort it out.

If you're a consumer in the UK, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 also gives you the right to reject faulty goods for a full refund within 30 days of receiving them. Nothing in our policy limits that right.

Can I just cancel my order?

Yes. Separately from the 90-day guarantee, consumers in the UK and EU have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of receiving an order, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Email us inside that window; you then have a further 14 days to send the goods back, and we refund within 14 days of receiving them. Return postage is yours where you cancel under this right.

How long until the money is back in my account?

We process the refund within 14 days of your return reaching us. After that it can take a further 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card provider.

Payment, privacy and help

What payment methods can I use?

Every payment method available to you is shown at checkout. Prices on this site are in pounds sterling (GBP), including for orders to the United States and Canada — your card provider converts the amount into your own currency.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payment is handled by Shopify's hosted checkout over an encrypted connection. Your card details go straight to the payment provider — they're never seen or stored by us.

What do you do with my data?

We use your details to process and deliver your order and to answer your messages — nothing more. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what we collect and how long we keep it.

How do I get in touch?

Use the contact form — it goes straight to us, and we reply to the email address you give us.

We're a small team and we read every message. We aim to reply within 1–2 business days, Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.
